I'm Gin. I'm Lithuanian, and Thailand has been pulling me back since 2012. For years I visited every year for about a month at a time — staying in Samui, bouncing through Bangkok, falling in love with the place — but visas kept forcing me back to the UK. That cycle went on for nearly a decade.

In 2020, right as Covid turned the world upside down, I finally made the move permanently. Six years later, this is home. But getting here wasn't smooth. Over roughly 11 years I wrestled with visas, business setups, marriage and divorce, buying and renting houses, and the occasional scam — the kind of lessons you don't forget.

For the past five years I've owned a coffee shop, and it puts me face-to-face with about a thousand foreigners every year. I hear the same stories again and again: overstayed visas, bad leases, lost deposits, company registrations gone wrong, relationships that turned into paperwork nightmares. Most of it is avoidable. It just needs someone who's already been through it to point out the traps.

That's why I started this. I'm not here to pretend I have all the answers — I don't. But I do have the scars, the contacts, and a team of four Thai partners and dozens of employees who help sort out whatever you need. If we can make your path even a little smoother than mine was, that's enough.
